![]() Ive noticed open areas used for storage of unused items. Lastly, decluterring the spaces that are visible to their customers. I think the ceiling and walls testify to the essence of their culture and their restaurant but the furniture and flooring, as well as counter tops, bathrooms could use some serious TLC. Customers are being seated, orders are taken in order of arrival time, food is being brought out accordingly, and that over all customers are happy. A individual thats sole purpose is to make sure that things are flowing well. Also one thing they could stand to use is a floor manager. A server in the front to serve to go customers and package orders. A server assisting the waiters/waitresses to serve the food and drinks. A bus boy that went and cleaned up/off tables as needed. A hostess designated specifically to welcoming customers and seating them. And would have time to be more courteous to customers. If everyone had One job to do this place would run a lot smoother. ![]() The water in the tank is always merky, fishes almost always have sores on them, they look very unhealthy and I would not want to serve that to my customers let alone eat it. I dont eat the fresh fish or lobster, crab that they have swimming in the front but I have noticed that they are in the worst of conditions. Making sure that all cooks are wearing hair nets, the dishes are spot clean, and the bathrooms are cleaned more often. I think a couple things that would make this restaurant over the top would be: ![]() Just that they are more focused on their long lists of tasks than how they come off sometimes. They are answering phones, taking orders, seating people, packing the to go orders. They can seem rude but I think its just the same idea. I do agree a little with some previous posts regarding the female employees in the front. And I feel our American culture we are more accustomed to how we felt or were treated rather than how the food tasted. But you can tell that they have lots to do and are always multitasking. I think they are more worried about getting the food out than making their customers feel pampered. They are never sitting down or just conversationting with one another unless officially on break. And want to make sure that we get everything we ordered. but there focus I feel is more towards their tasks. Smile, greeting, customer is always right ect. Im not trying to be rude or offend anyone, all Im saying is that, we the American culture, expect to be catered to. I think the customer service is pretty good considering the Chinese culture. For example: sweet and sour pork, garlic chicken, house chowmein, pork fried rice, beef broccoli, and honey walnut prawns(our fave)!! Granted we dont order more exotic dishes, these ones are always good. The food that we order on a regular are simple dishes. If we have only 5 tables, are you going to kick my guests out! Really? The food was delicious and wait staff helpful so I am not rating them poorly for the food or service, just the frustrations of making the arrangements. My family and I love eating at this place. If you have less your time may be shortened. Me: Really? And this conversation… with 6 tables you can have the room for the amount of time you need. Me: Really aren’t vegetable cheaper than shrimp. Then we had this conversation… Them: If you make a substitution you have to charge you $5.00 per table for each substitution. “No you cannot pay with a check”, “You can pay with a credit card but we will charge you 3%”, “Cash or Cashier Check is best”. Plus their flexibility, I found was lacking a bit. So when I went to finalize the details and the owner was not there, the staff and I were not on the same page. ![]() What I understood when talking with the owner initially didn’t seem to have been communicated to the staff. I found talking with the owner and the staff, when the owner was not there, was very challenging. I would guess if you spoke Chinese it could be a little easier. Recently I planned a dinner for a group of 50 to 60 people at China Palace and I vowed they would not be my first choice for a large group dinner again.
